The food and wine selections are superb. It recently dawned on us that we don’t HAVE to wait until our anniversary to enjoy a night out here. Since we don’t pay a corkage fee on Saturdays, it’s like ordering our favorite wine and getting dinner at a deep discount. For me it’s usually a toss up between the Seared Filet Mignon or the fresh catch of the day. I have started treating myself to lunch there every once in awhile.

I have been here several times for drinks. My husband and I came in for dinner on Saturday and were highly impressed with the dinner menu and drink selections. I ordered the Moroccan rack of Lamb and was not disappointed. They make a mean Greek salad as well! Our server was very attentive and made us feel like family.

Great Atmosphere. Wines on Vine is in a great location in downtown Lexington. The owners are knowledgeable about their wines and extremely friendly. They welcome questions and are helpful with wine and food pairings. They also offer 5 to 6 premium beers on tap, as well as 2 cases full of other specialty beers. As for food, there are separate lunch and dinner menus with special offerings. Wines on Vine is a great getaway to relax with friends or to meet new friends. I have no complaints from any of my visits there and I look forward to each and every visit!‎

Celebrated my girlfriend and I celebrated our three year anniversary there last night, and it was great! We started off with the meat and cheese platter, that was awesome. The meats and cheeses were good, but like anything could be better. Maybe the addition of some marinated olives and a nice rustic bread would elevate it much more. She ordered the burger and I the vegetarian. Here burger was modestly priced and large as was my sandwich and she commented on the great flavor of the burger and the fries being homemade wowed her,”probably the best fries I have ever had”. My pasta salad was also impeccable, again probably the best I have had, but its much more an artichoke and roasted red pepper salad than pasta, which I had no problem with. She enjoyed her wine and my red was so so, but I’m no expert. All in all great and surprisingly affordable. Living down the street we will be returning frequently for dinners and lunch!

Wines on Vines is a wine bar/shop combination. They also have a small patio with a handful of tables for outside seating. We requested to sit in the shop section for a bit more peace for a good conversation.
Both sections are small and cozy and you will get a full service.
Best part is,  If you don’t see your wine of interest on the menu, you can pick any wine from the store for a corkage fee under $10. And you don’t feel like drinking wine, they also have a good selection of beers!

Their menu has a selection of appetizers, salads, sandwiches and larger entrees. Regardless of what you are eating, definitely try the brie platter, perfect for sharing..It’s quite a delicious way to start your meal..
We had an overall good meal but I  wish our served paid a bit more  attention to detail but in general she was helpful.
We also heard that on Tuesdays starting at 5:30pm they have a Martini/Manicure night. I’m not a manicure kinda gal but I guess I could sit through a manicure as I sipped a tasty martini!! And the whole thing is only for 10 bucks!!!

Give this place a chance. You will definitely find something that you enjoy.
